Our measurements were performed with the following broadband seismometers:

These devices are detecting the acceleration of all three directions: vertikal, north-south and east-west. Output signal is the corresponding velocity.
Under "Following Links" you can find detailed information from Güralp.
The sensor S3 has an integrated 24-bit ADC. Sensor control and data readout are done using a standard PC or notebook (WINXP) and a software from the manufacturer called SCREAM.
Until summer of 2004 the old sensors S1 and S2 had an integrated 16-bit ADCs. The sensor control and the data readout was done via a PC (WIN95) and a DOS based software called SMART16D.
During spring of 2004 both sensors were upgraded to a 24-bit ADC. Now control and readout are possible via SCREAM too.

For all our measurements we use the highest sampling rate of 200Hz. Every minute an ASCII dataset (*.ufa) is written to the harddisk.
